Before You Fly

You’ll meet your pilot, receive a short safety briefing, and get introduced to Clara Rose, our vintage-style Waco biplane. Once airborne, you’ll enjoy beautiful views of Charlotte, Lake Norman, and the surrounding countryside.

Please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled flight so we have time for check-in, photos, and your pre-flight briefing.

Not at all. Just show up ready for an unforgettable ride.

We offer 30-minute and 60-minute flight experiences. Plan on arriving 30 minutes prior to your arranged time.  Wrap up after landing usually takes around 30 minutes also. 

Yes. Clara Rose can carry up to two passengers, with a combined passenger weight limit of 400 pounds.

Typical routes include views of Uptown Charlotte, Lake Norman, and scenic areas around Charlotte when we depart from Concord.  If we depart from Salisbury, we'll fly over Salisbury, High Rock Lake, Badin Lake, and Morrow Mountain if time permits. Routes may vary based on weather and airspace.

Yes. Safety is always the priority. Your pilots are highly experienced, the aircraft is carefully maintained, and all flights are conducted under FAA regulations.  We are authorized by the FAA as a full tour operator with Safety Management Systems, Drug Testing, and strict maintenance guidelines. 

Most flights are smooth, especially in the morning and evening. Like any small aircraft, some light movement is possible depending on the weather.

Wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. Sunglasses are strongly recommended. A light jacket is recommended in the spring and fall. 

Yes. Phones and cameras are welcome, but they must be secured during flight.

If conditions are not safe or comfortable, we will reschedule your flight at no additional cost.

Yes. Sunset flights are very popular and should be booked early.

We’ll do our best to accommodate special requests, but final routing depends on weather, safety, and airspace conditions.
